Inform drivers that the upcoming left shoulder of the road is closing. This will allow them to pull off before if necessary.
Standard: 01 The Shoulder Work sign shall have the legend SHOULDER WORK (W21-5), RIGHT (LEFT) SHOULDER CLOSED (W21-5a), or RIGHT (LEFT) SHOULDER CLOSED XX FT or AHEAD (W21-5b).
