Lettered "workers" sign may be substituted for the "workers symbol" sign. Place this in advance of at any point where construction is on the highway. Sign will notify drivers of upcoming workers and get them to slow their speed.
Standard: 01 Other traffic control devices, such as other signs, signals, and illumination that are used on low-volume roads in temporary traffic control zones, but are not described in Part 5, shall comply with the provisions contained in other Parts of this Manual.
